History

           Since the establishment in 2000, the Graduate Institute of Long-term Care has continued to advance its curriculum design and staffing in order to fulfill our main mission and goal of fostering long-term care professionals in the public and private sectors who possessing knowledge and understanding of long-term care and skills of the highest standards. As a part of professional and vocational education, the objectives of our Institute are to prepare professionals in medicine, nursing, social work, and other areas in the field of long-term care who will participate in long-term care practice, operations, management, policymaking and execution, instructing, and research.

          Our curriculum design aims to provide the knowledge essential to long-term care and offer individualized basic, practical, and advanced courses that match each student's unique expertise, background, and professional career plan. The increasing need for long-term care in the 21st century is undoubtedly becoming a social, political, and economical taskforces at the global level. The Institute provides education and training for specialists in long-term care who, upon graduation, will enter the work force as practitioners, managers, policymakers and executives, or instructing and research personnel in public and private long-term care facilities, systems, organizations, and centers.
